Along with training horses to pull vehicles we run driving courses for those wanting to get behind the reins.
Our courses
Our clients range from people wanting a morning or afternoon driving experience to people wanting a fill driving course over a few days. We teach people to drive the horses on a carriage on a road. We also spend time on the land doing farm tasks with the horses. Some people like to experience driving the horses on the lands as well as the road. They could find themselves driving three or four horses, harrowing grassland or corn ground or maybe rolling grassland or turning hay with the horses.
Time is spent with a pair of horse initially, learning how to hold and handle the reins correctly. We go straight on the roads to drive. We discuss the different types of harnesses used and the use of the various components of the harness. We aim to give the client plenty of time driving either one to one or a maximum of two people at a time. We keep various different horses available to drive.

Stay in our beautiful Bed and Breakfast
If you decide to book into one of our full courses you can stay in our B&B accommodation.
We have three beautiful South facing rooms all of which are either double (twins) or king size include full facilities such as en-suites, televisions, tea and coffee facilities, crisp bed linen and fluffy bathrobes. We have an additional room located just off the farmhouse which is very spacious and includes all the facilities of our main rooms.
Alternatively for something a little different why not consider staying in our newly converted railway carriage. It is a beautiful room which boasts a full double -sized bed, underfloor heating, charging points, television and tea and coffee making facilities. The large bathroom is only a few steps away from the carriage.
